🌍 About the Tournament

The 2026 FIFA World Cup promises to be the biggest and most exciting edition in football history. For the first time ever, 48 nations will compete across 12 groups, introducing a brand-new Round of 32 and expanding the tournament to 104 matches played over 32 action-packed days.

From unforgettable upsets to championship-winning moments, the road to crowning one world champion begins here.

How It Works
  • Sign in with your Premji Invest Microsoft account to participate.
  • You have two sets of predictions to make: Group Stage picks and Knockout Stage score predictions.
  • You can update your picks any number of times before the deadlines.
  • Group Stage picks lock on 17 June 2026 at 23:59 IST.
  • R32 picks lock match-by-match at each kickoff — once a match starts, that pick is frozen.
  • R16, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals & Final picks lock on 4 July 2026 at 5:00 PM IST — this deadline will not be extended.
  • As Group Stage results come in, your Knockout bracket is automatically updated with real match-ups.
  • The Leaderboard updates as the organiser enters actual results.

Group Stage Scoring

For each of the 12 groups (A–L), pick which team finishes 1st and which finishes 2nd. Also pick the 8 best third-place teams that advance to the Round of 32 (ranked best to worst).

Knockout Stage Scoring

For each knockout match, predict the final score after 90 min / extra time (not including penalties). If you predict a draw, select which team advances on penalties. Points are awarded based on who advances and how well your scoreline matches. GD = Goal Difference (home goals minus away goals).

If you pick the wrong team to advance, you score 0 pts regardless of the score you typed.
✅ Goal Difference examples
You predicted 1–1 (Team A on penalties) · Actual: 2–2 (Team A on penalties) → Tier 2 (as the goal difference in both predicted and actual is same = 0).
You predicted 2–1 (Team A wins) · Actual: 3–2 (Team A wins) → Tier 2 (as the goal difference in both predicted and actual is same = 1).
You predicted 2–0 · Actual: 1–0 (Team A wins) → Tier 3 (right winner).
⚽ Penalty shootout draws
Scores are judged after 90 min + extra time only — the shootout score doesn't count.
If you predicted a non-draw score but your chosen winner is correct, you get Tier 3.
Knockout Bracket Structure
  • The 2026 World Cup has 48 teams — top 2 from each of 12 groups advance, plus the 8 best 3rd-place teams.
  • This creates a Round of 32 (16 matches) for the first time in World Cup history.
  • The exact opponents for 3rd-place slots depend on which 8 third-place teams qualify — determined by FIFA's Annex C table (495 possible combinations).
  • You predict scores for all 31 knockout matches (R32 → R16 → QF → SF → 3rd Place → Final).
